Blog Post #2- What is a Hero?

What does it take to be a hero?

A hero is a word and a face that goes to a title. Helping others is being a hero. Superman is a hero because he helps others. My teachers are heroes because they help their students. Any one who helps someone or something can be a hero.

Identify someone whom you believe exemplifies the title of a hero. Explain.

I think my mom shows how to be a true hero. She always puts herself before others. An example of this is my mom may not want to do something. She may not want to drive my brother to his friends or she may not want to cook dinner but she puts her opinion away and does what will help other people.

Another example of a hero is a firefighter. Everyday, they risk their lives to help other people. They are heroes too.

Blog Post September 7th

Reflection: Reflect on where you have come from as an 8th grader to where you are today, and reflect on where you want your journey to take you when you graduate high school, college, and beyond.

Response: When I was in the 8th grade I was at Euclid Middle School, I played soccer, I was in the school play, and I was super excited for high school. Now I am a Junior in high school, I am on the varsity cheer team, I am involved in newspaper and Student Government and I love my family. Between 8th grade and 11th grade, I haven't changed that much, I have just grown up. I have becoming more mature and more focused.

After high school i want to go to college and study in Sports Medicine. My dream colleges are Mesa State and Colorado State University. After college I am not sure where I want to go or do but I know that I will go where ever life wants me to and I will be ready.
