- Wiesel almost overwhelms us with his descriptions of his concentration camp experiences. Choose one experience he describes that sticks out in your mind and explain: (a) the experience, (b) the effect of the experience on Wiesel, and (c) the effect of reading about the experience on you.
One of the experiences that stuck out to me the most is when Elie was attacked by Idek for no reason. Being attacked and hit everywhere caused Elie to be in extreme aching pain. This is a gruesome scene because Elie could not do anything to protect himself except to bare the pain so he would not be punished. To imagine having to bite your lip so hard to endure the pain makes me hurt even just reading about it.
